Prenatal Massage:
Our office offers prenatal massage with a certified prenatal massage therapist.
Prenatal massage has several benefits to both mother and child. Stress is the number one enemy of a healthy pregnancy. Fortunately, prenatal massage reduces stress, promotes relaxation, and reduces anxiety. It decreases chronic muscle tension, restores postural balance and normalizes joint range of motion.
The baby also benefits from the massages by fostering deep breathing and stimulating circulation, thus bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the womb. Women often face many discomforts in pregnancy which can be eased by massage, such as swelling, nausea, and varicose veins. Prenatal massage ultimately prepares women physically, emotionally, and mentally for labor.
What makes Chiropractic care different?
The difference is what your chiropractor is treating, Imagine an iceberg, the visible top being symptoms such as; numbness, tingling, headaches, weakness, and so on. Chiropractors don’t ignore the other half, rather the focus is on the underlying causes, rather than only treating the symptoms visibly on the surface. Because what you’ll find under is a subluxation combination of physical, chemical, and emotional stress that requires proper care to avoid worsening of the issue and begin by giving your body the tools to be and maintain its healthiest most resilient state.
